This year, online … Usually? The mall!
    Nuclear, usually.
    Angel
If the grandparents had anything to do with it, we’d be surrounded by plastic. Thank goodness Toby and I agree on trying to avoid commercialized products when possible!

  5. Real and fake- we have a pre-lit in the front living room window and we cut down a real one for the family room every year

    Both religious and secular

Santa absolutely! How could I deny the kids that joy?

    Christmas

    Eggnog lattes baby!

Actually steaks & lobster tails- we did the turkey and ham at Thanksgiving

A mixture of cash and credit

    We stay home

Usually I do it all on-line but this year the Mr and I got an entire day free of kids and completed it all

    nuclear

Star on the real tree, big bow on the fake one

Plastic/battery operated and wooden hand painted- We love both equally, but most of our plastic ones are without batteries this year (MJ loves Star Wars and Ms. Z loves horses)

White lights outside and on the fake tree, the real one is a burst of color!

    Traditional music

How ’bout A Christmas Story? “You’ll poke your eye out!”

Christmas Morning- we actually bought our home because of the open floor plan and the fact that you can look down into our living room from the 2nd floor.

Jim Carrey did a great job

Red, unless you want to send me some green!

    Candy Cane

Re-gift or Goodwill (or Ebay- all of the above

Oh how we love White Christmas’ in the mid-atlantic area. But this year it looks like it will be Green

    “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer”

Absolutely ready and damn proud! I was ready a few weeks ago (minus the small, last minute, easy stuff)

  15. Real or fake (sorry, artificial)?
    REAL!

    Religious or secular?
MOSTLY SECULAR, BUT A LITTLE RELIGIOUS IN THAT WE’LL ATTEND XMAS EVE MASS WITH MY FAMILY. LIKE YOU, I’M A BIT LOST SPIRITUALLY AND *MIGHT* BE SEARCHING A BIT.

    Santa or not?
    ABSOLUTELY SANTA!!

Christmas or Hanukkah (or Kwanzaa or Solstice or…..)?
CHRISTMAS, FOR LACK OF BETTER TERM (BEING THE FORMER CATHOLIC I AM, IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS)

    Eggnog or Hot Chocolate?
    EGGNOG, ACTUALLY. PREFERABLY SPIKED, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

    Turkey or Ham (or Tofurkey)?
    TURKEY

    Cash or Credit?
BOTH. BUT THE CREDIT IS PAID IN FULL WHEN THE BILL COMES.

    Travel or stay home?
STAY HOME! WITH KIDS, IT’S JUST EASIER AND MORE COMFORTABLE TO BE AT HOME. PLUS, THAT’S WHERE SANTA COMES SANS MAJOR EXPLANATIONS. LUCKILY, WE HAVE FAMILY AROUND SO IT’S ALL GOOD.

    Mall or online?
MALL. DESPITE HOW MUCH TIME I SPEND ONLINE I’M NOT MUCH OF AN ONLINE SHOPPER. I NEED TO TOUCH/SMELL/TRY ON TO PURCHASE. FULLY INSPECT THE ITEM WITH MY OWN TWO HANDS. I MOSTLY ENJOY THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE AND ONLINE FEELS STERILE AND LIKE I’VE BEEN CHEATED SOMEHOW.

    Extended family or nuclear?
DEFINE EXTENDED. CHRISTMAS EVE WITH MY FAMILY - AUNTS/UNCLES/GRANDPARENTS/COUSINS, AND CHRISTMAS MORNING WITH JUST US.

    Star or angel?
    STAR.

Plastic/battery operated or wooden hand painted?
PLASTIC - IT’S A LEGO CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR. ALSO MARBLE TOYS. BUILDING/CREATIVE STUFF. HOPEFULLY NOTHING BATTERY-OPERATED.

    White lights or coloured?
A LITTLE OF BOTH. WHITE ON THE TREE (I KNOW, MATCHY MATCHY), BUT COLORED OUTSIDE ON THE SHRUBBERY)

    Traditional music or contemporary?
A GOOD MIX WORKS FOR ME.

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ or ‘Miracle on 34th Street’
    IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

    Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
BOTH!! CHRISTMAS EVE FOR THE SOCIAL INTERACTION WE HAD EACH YEAR - FUN TIMES - AND CHRISTMAS MORNING FOR THE THRILL AND EXCITEMENT OF THE PRESENTS.

    Original Grinch or Jim Carrey?
    ORIGINAL, HANDS DOWN.

    Red or Green?
    RED.

    Candy Cane or Gingerbread?
    CANDY CANE.

    Re-gift or Goodwill (or Ebay)?
RE-GIFT AT THE ANNUAL “WHITE ELEPHANT” EXCHANGE I DO WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS FOR JUST THIS PURPOSE. MAKES IT MORE FUN.

    White Christmas or Green?
GREEN, BUT WOULD LOVE WHITE SOME YEAR.

‘Jingle Bells’ or “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer”
RUDOLPH THIS YEAR - IT’S THE NEW FAVORITE TO SING WITH THE KIDS.

    Ready or not?
PRETTY READY. JUST WAITING FOR ONE GIFT TO ARRIVE (STUPID ONLINE SHOPPING!! ALWAYS HAVE TROUBLE THERE. GRRR!)
